Position Overview

We are seeking a driven Environmental Technician to join our team full-time (40+ hours per week) to assist Senior Ecologists with fieldwork, GIS data collection, technical writing, and restoration monitoring. This role offers opportunities to engage in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Wetland delineation and assessment
  • Ecological restoration planning and site monitoring
  • Wildlife habitat and botanical surveys
  • Strategic regulatory planning and permitting

Qualifications

  • Degree in biology, ecology, natural resources, or related field
  • Proficiency in GIS software, especially ESRI ArcGIS
  • Proficient in native and nonnative plant identification
  • Field-ready: adaptable to remote, diverse field conditions
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to walk up to five miles and lift up to 50 lbs
