Associate Finance Officer – Accounts Payable reports to Finance Officer – Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities
– Prepares and reviews documentation in respect of claims/payment arising out of HQA activities; guides and trains the staff under her/his supervision and reviews her/his work to ensure that claims are properly documented, and payments are correctly calculated and coded in conformity with contract/agreement provisions. – Checks and prepares lists of liabilities and commitments during the closure of accounts and drafts Journal Vouchers to record them in Agency accounts; reviews and prepares Area staff, LDC, DP, ISP, IPS Payroll Payments, PF withdrawals and PF Loans, and records private deductions. – Maintains records of all agreements between the Agency and external bodies and ensures the proper recording of all payments under these agreements including GMIP and relevant reconciliations. – Deals with queries raised by expending officers, employees, suppliers, and contractors on matters concerning his/her work. – Checks and reconciles on monthly basis the purchases and payments made by HQA credit cards and raises related Journal Vouchers. – Verifies and retrieves data in REACH and prepares reports related to his/her functions, including aging reports, and prepares vendor reconciliations; validates and registers monthly accruals Journal Vouchers, which includes collecting data and following up with departments using appropriate means of communication, as well as analyzing the Agency’s fund reservations and purchase orders.

Conditions of service: Contract Type: Fixed Term Appointment for 3 years; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need. Grade and Salary, Grade 13 Monthly basic salary JD 843.50.
