The Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) is seeking a Wildfire Mitigation Program Specialist to lead the charge in wildfire risk reduction across the state. Under the guidance of the Fire, Fuels, and Watershed Manager, you’ll oversee key programs, provide technical expertise, and work directly with communities to enhance wildfire resilience. Apply Now!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer programs like Community Wildfire Protection Plans, Firewise USA®, and Home Ignition Zone Assessments.
  • Represent CSFS on statewide wildfire mitigation groups.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and develop educational materials.
  • Manage wildfire risk reduction grants and ensure program goals are met.

Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)

Location: This position is based in Fort Collins, CO, but qualifies for a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both in-office and remote work.
