Location: Gloucester
Salary: £36,648 – £38,223 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-timeAbout the Role:Looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join an Adults Locality Team based in Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. This role involves working with adults aged 18 and above who may require care and support due to physical disabilities, mental health needs, or other vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will deliver person-centred, strength-based interventions to enable individuals to lead fulfilling lives while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable adults in the community.What We Offer:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual needs, including Care Act assessments and mental capacity assessments.
• Develop, implement, and review care and support plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals.
• Work closely with health, housing, and voluntary sector organisations to deliver integrated care and achieve positive outcomes.
• Safeguard vulnerable adults by identifying risks and implementing appropriate interventions, including attending safeguarding meetings and completing Section 42 Enquiries.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements and organisational policies.
• Manage a diverse and complex caseload, ensuring that all work is compliant with legal frameworks, including the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Human Rights Act 1998.
• Provide advice and advocacy to ensure service users have access to the right resources and support.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team development and learning.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
• Experience: Previous experience in adult social care or similar settings.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK legislation, including the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding procedures.
• Skills: Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Other: Willingness to travel for home visits and meetings, where required. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.
