The Applications Senior Analyst will sit within the Applications team to:

  • Ensuring the effective management, support, and enhancement of all applications across the organisation.
  • Lead the implementation of new applications and upgrades, managing the full project lifecycle from planning and testing to deployment and training.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and optimisation of the applications. This includes performing regular system audits, tuning performance, and managing application security to ensure data protection and compliance with corporate policies and regulation.

The focus of this role will include comprehensive support, management, and enhancement of all applications. This role involves working closely with business units to understand their needs, troubleshooting complex application issues, managing application lifecycle activities, and working on projects to implement new systems or enhancements.Mentoring and guiding the Applications analysts is another key component of the role. You will share your expertise and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve common goals.Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices is essential for success in this role. You will be expected to continually enhance your skills and knowledge, participating in relevant training sessions, webinars, and conferences. Your proactive approach to professional development will help ensure that the Council remains at the forefront of technological innovation.Leading the Application Support Team the Applications Senior Analyst, will lead the implementation of new applications and upgrades, managing the full project lifecycle from planning and testing to deployment and training. Your project management skills will be crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, configuration details, and user guides, to ensure that all team members and end-users have the information they need to use and support the applications effectively.Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK.
