WFP’s activities include food assistance for relief, school feeding, safety nets, nutrition support, and food assistance for assets creation through in-kind and cash-based transfers. These efforts aim to enhance food security and resilience among vulnerable populations.
Interns will join an efficient and dynamic team and play a critical role in supporting the implementation of WFP’s Country Strategic Plan, contributing meaningfully to WFP’s fight against hunger and malnutrition.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT systems and equipment.
- Monitor and manage network systems and user accounts.
- Support database management and data backups.
- Provide technical support to staff, ensuring prompt resolution of IT issues.
- Any other tasks required to support the unit.
Requirements:
Education:
- Currently enrolled in the University and have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme within the last 6 months from a university in the field of Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Language:
- Fluency in English and Russian/Tajik.
- Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP depending on the duty station of assignment.
- WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, necessary visas, travel and related costs.
- WFP will recognize candidates’ educational credentials from recognized institutions that have been certified by competent international or national authorities.
- Candidates who are sons, daughters, brothers or sisters of WFP employees will not be considered.
- The internship duration is 8 months, full-time.
