I am working with an established commercial fit-out contractor based in Oxfordshire. My client has been in business for over 20 years and specialises in creating bespoke, innovative spaces across various sectors, including offices, laboratories, retail, and education. With a management team boasting a combined 200 years of experience in the commercial fit-out industry, you will be surrounded by knowledgeable and experienced professionals.A testament to my client’s abilities and stellar reputation is their recent accolade: they were awarded “Fit-Out of the Year” in South and South Wales last year for one of their outstanding projects.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for leading a team of Estimators with the aim of securing future fit-out and refurbishment projects. The role will be split between my client’s office in the south of Oxford, home, and projects across London and the South West. You will report directly to the Managing Director and will be measured on your ability to price competitive tenders with the aim of winning work.REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a degree, HND, or equivalent NVQ qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar role as an Estimator or Senior Estimator, including leading and managing the commercial aspects of the tendering process.
  • Skilled in chairing meetings with a strategic approach and conducting effective discussions and negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Proficient in utilising the Conquest subcontractor database for estimating and tendering purposes.
  • Extensive experience tendering for both traditional projects (BoQ, specifications, and drawings) and design-and-build (D&B) contracts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NEC, JCT, and construction management (CM) contract models.
  • Experience in accurately pricing commerical fit-out projects in a variety of sectors, including laboratory, offices, education and retail
  • Familiarity with tendering for projects across a diverse value range, typically spanning £1 million to £10 million.
