Beaver Creek Reserve’s Avian Field Technician position is guided by two primary goals: 1. To provide AmeriCorps members with high-quality training and hands-on experience in avian research, conservation, and citizen science. Technicians will gain practical skills by participating in and helping lead the operations of a fully functioning avian citizen science station. 2. To support the Citizen Science Center in ensuring that the Avian Monitoring Program (AMP) runs efficiently, effectively, and professionally. IFC’s Transaction Advisory Services department provides financial advisory services to client governments and private companies with the purpose to increase access to basic infrastructure and social services by facilitating private investments in various sectors. Specifically, the PPP team acts as transaction advisor to governments to structure and implement the following types of public-private partnership (PPP) projects:• BOT type concessions• Management and lease contracts• Restructuring and privatization of state-owned enterprises By structuring successful PPPs, infrastructure and public services may be expanded and improved in a cost-effective manner, benefiting from private sector’s expertise, management, and finance. The PPP team has an active global portfolio of over 100 PPP projects covering different sectors, of which power, transport, water, affordable housing and health are strategic priorities. IFC’s Transaction Advisory Services department also acts as transaction adviser to private companies to help them with various types of merger and acquisition type of transactions. The Corporate Finance Services (CFS) team has an active portfolio of transactions in various sectors, of which renewable energy and privatization are strategic priorities. CTA’s Europe PPP team covers the unit’s operations across the Europe Region. The team’s 11 staff are located across 6 different European offices, including in Kyiv, Ukraine. The department is looking to recruit an Investment Analyst (IA) to work with the PPP team in the Europe region. The IA will be based in Kyiv, Ukraine reporting to the Regional Manager and Head for PPP Transaction Advisory Services in Europe. The IA will support the development and implementation of various PPP and CFS projects in Ukraine and the broader Europe region in infrastructure sectors as described above. The selected candidate will be expected to perform as a core team member under the supervision of the Hub-Leader for Ukraine and Moldova and will assist the project team leaders in the origination and execution of IFC’s advisory mandates in PPPs, privatizations and private M&A transactions. Duties and Accountabilities:  Duties include, but are not limited to: 1. Proactively contribute to business development activities, including:• Participate in origination and marketing activities, e.g. undertake project scoping to assess feasibility of potential projects, preparation of pitchbooks and proposals and support with IFC internal governance processes.• Prepare notes and documentation for internal approval processes and procurement of consultants.• Participate in meetings with government and private clients to discuss and assess their needs and ideas to improve access to infrastructure and delivery of public services and to identify potential PPP and CFS projects for IFC transaction advisory assistance.• Understand World Bank Group’s (WBG) strategy for assigned countries and work with them to engage with clients to implement them in a coordinated manner. 2. Assist with day-to-day management of project execution to contribute to the structuring of innovative PPP and CFS projects and to the development of recommendations to clients, including:• Assist with due diligence management, data collection, review of legal, commercial and technical outputs, project structure design, and drafting of project contractual documentation.• Prepare complex financial models and perform financial analysis.• Assist with managing project marketing to potential investors, roadshows, preparing marketing documents (teaser, information memorandum), conducting prequalification and tendering (including negotiation of project agreements with bidders) up to award and commercial/financial close.• Assist with coordinating with other parts of IFC and WBG including environmental and social, legal, other advisory and investment departments as well as IBRD colleagues. Selection Criteria • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Management, Accounting or a related specialty from a top reputed university.• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience gained with a leading financial institution.• Relevant experience with PPP transaction advisory, M&A or privatization advisory on buy and/or sell side, project finance, private equity, preferably with focus on infrastructure (including social infrastructure) sectors.• Strong analytical and up-to-date financial modeling/structuring skills with ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently.• Experience in infrastructure sectors (including power, transport, social infrastructure sectors), with some knowledge of sector trends, legal and regulatory requirements, and stakeholders (project developers, investors, technical and legal consultants) and with proven track record of infrastructure/PPP transactions.• Ability to operate in large, culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams.• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work within deadlines to meet team objectives.• Willingness and ability to travel on short notice and frequently, as required.• Excellent communication skills in English and Ukrainian are essential.• Experience with sell-side/government PPP transaction advisory is considered a plus.• Experience in development institutions is considered a plus.
