Registered Manager | Adult Mental Health (Residential) | Full TimeLocation: Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex
Salary: Up to £45,000 plus quarterly bonuses
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-timeWe’re hiring an experienced Registered Manager to take full leadership of a 15-bed residential mental health service for adults aged 18 and above.The home is settled, fully staffed, and has recently been rated Good by the CQC. However, the provider is implementing a leadership change to bring in someone who can lead with confidence, restore accountability, and drive consistent, compliant care.This isn’t a turnaround role, but it does need a grounded, assertive leader who can steady the culture, raise expectations, and protect the good things already in place.As the Registered Manager, you’ll:

• Lead the full running of a residential mental health service for adults with complex needs
• Support residents with conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders
• Maintain high standards across audits, documentation, and risk
• Manage staff performance, team morale, and service planning
• Oversee compliance, statutory notifications, and LA liaison
• Work alongside a strong Deputy Manager and experienced senior care team
• Foster a positive, values-led service culture

To be considered, you’ll need to show:

• Experience leading a CQC-regulated residential care service (not domiciliary care or supported living)
• A solid track record in mental health services, including complex behavioural presentations
• The ability to set and maintain professional boundaries and expectations
• Confidence managing staff teams, performance issues, and change
• A clear understanding of governance, notifications, and inspection prep
• Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
• A visible, proactive leadership style,; this is not a remote or desk-based role
• Daily travel to Bexhill (relocation may be considered for the right candidate)
