The Assistant Procurement Manager (Tenders) will play a critical role in managing tender processes and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations within the public sector. This permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to an effective Procurement & Supply Chain department in Durham.
- Manage and oversee tender processes from start to finish, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to define procurement needs and develop tender specifications.
- Evaluate supplier bids and recommend the most suitable options based on cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and contracts.
- Provide expert advice on procurement policies and procedures to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all tendering activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Procurement & Supply Chain department.
