The Sociology Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a 2-year Visiting Assistant Professor position, with the possibility of renewal, beginning the 2024-2025 academic year starting July 1, 2024. We are particularly interested in scholars who do international comparative research and can teach courses with an international focus. We are looking for strong teachers who will be able to add to our curriculum, in particular with regards to quantitative methods. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations. The teaching load in the department is 5 courses per year. The expected salary range for this position is $74,400 to $76,900. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Sociology or expect to complete all requirements by Fall 2024.
