Offer Description
Postdoctoral position
We are looking for a new member for our group!
About the research group
The Pancreatic Cancer Lab is located at the Barcelona School of Medicine at the vibrant Campus of Bellvitge. We are part of the Oncobell program of IDIBELL and the Pathology and Experimental Therapy Department of the University of Barcelona. Our group is focused on the study of pancreatic cancer with a special interest on ga better understanding of the heterogeneity that exists in pancreatic cancer tumors from different patients. How the different identities of tumor cells are regulated and how these define the complex interactions with the tumor microenvironment are part of the questions we try to answer. To do this, we use state-of-the art omics analyses, which we complement with functional studies using primary in vitro and in vivo models. More info: @ElisaEspinet (X)
About the role
The candidate will join an interdisciplinary research team to work in a funded research project focused on deciphering the consequences of the tumor cell of origin. The project uses novel mouse genetic lines, and patient derived ex vivo models for the characterization of tumor heterogeneity (neoplastic and TME), early detection biomarker discovery and personalized drug treatment.
