The SNAP-Ed Grants and Contracts Specialist under the direction of the PI and program director (Co-I) of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) grant implements day to day fiscal administration and activities of SNAP-Ed that involves a wide variety of transactions related to the SNAP-Ed grant, pre-award, post award, contracts and sub-awards. Serve as the main SNAP-Ed fiscal contact for the OSU Sponsored Programs (OSP) office. Analyzes costs and expenditures, prepares fiscal projections for use in determining budget to create pre-award budget and budget narrative for annual SNAP-Ed statewide proposal.
Performs required reconciliations and account reviews, develops protocols and resolves problems for statewide staff, prepares and presents reports and financial statements to ODJFS (grant state sponsor) and Principal Investigators (PI/Co-I)., provides fiscal oversight for state and regional SNAP-Ed budgets in coordination with SNAP-Ed office associates, implements policies, processes and procedures for all SNAP-Ed financial functions including journals transfers, initiate payroll transfers, approve purchase and travel requests in conjunction with the OSP program officer, approves fund availability for financial transactions in compliance with sponsor and USDA federal uniform guidance, university policies and procedures monitors fund balances; alerts PI of potential deficits or problems, monitors accounting practices assuring compliance with audit standards and established policies and procedures monitors personnel appointments and effort certifications and communicates necessary changes to PI, program director and sponsored program officer, provides and disseminates information on OSU, ODJFS and federal fiscal policies and procedures.
Prepare and oversee/maintain related reports and documentation in collaboration with SNAP-Ed Regional Office Associates. Provide tracking and follow-up on SNAP-Ed fiscal payments and transactions. Maintain oversight of the SNAP-Ed PCards including requesting new cards and reviewing Expense reports. Work closely with the SNAP-Ed PI/Co-I and regional supervisors to create and update SNAP-Ed fiscal processes. Other duties or projects will be assigned to support the financial and accounting needs of SNAP-Ed.
Work closely with OSU Office of Sponsored Programs and CFAES Business Office Operations staff.

The pay range for this job profile is $21.53-27.36/hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
