About the Role 

Swinburne College is seeking suitability experienced and qualified teachers to help support the college with teaching activities of the college from 2024 and beyond. 

Courses and programs offered by Swinburne College include Foundation Year, UniLink Diplomas, ELICOS, Postgraduate Qualifying Program which assist students to reach the entry requirements for a university degree, transition from post-secondary to higher education or improve English language skills. 

As a Pathway program teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring, engaging and educating our students for the 21st century, implementing industry best practice and applying current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies. You will work collaboratively within a team of education professionals to plan, deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high-quality education and training programs. You will need to be able to customise and adapt our programs to meet our learners and clients’ needs that vary from Foundation level through to diploma levels.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Comprehensive discipline specific knowledge related to societal impacts on the environment and climate. 
  • Demonstrated teaching and learning experience, including an ability to supervise and mentor students, ensuring academic expectations are met.
  • Proven ability to maintain required student success 
  • and satisfaction standards.
  • Demonstrated experience improving student outcomes utilising contemporary teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications

AQF Level 5 or above qualification directly related to Arts, Humanities and/or Social Sciences.

About Swinburne College 
Swinburne College was established in 2020 as a joint venture partnership between Swinburne University and UP Education to deliver a range of pathway programs for both international and domestic students. These programs (Foundation Year, UniLink Diplomas, ELICOS, Postgraduate Qualifying Program) assist students to reach the entry requirements for a university degree, transition from post-secondary to higher education or improve English language skills.
