Student Affairs & Logistics (SAL) plays a crucial role in the educational support of UT programmes.

The SAL department consists of 52 employees (42 fte) and is divided into four different teams with two team leaders:

  • Scheduling and examination team; responsible for all UT education and examination schedules
  • Office for Educational Affairs: responsible for registration of study progress and support of Examination Boards and Programme Committees.
  • Key user team: responsible for the functional design of our Student Information System OSIRIS
  • Minor organization: responsible for the information and registration for UT minors

The manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the departmental plan in line with the university’s strategy and priorities.
  • Managing the department’s finances, HRM, housing and IT policies.
  • Coordinating and chairing the UT platform on Education and Logistics Operations.
  • Translating the internal and external strategic developments regarding educational and logistical aspects into tactical and operational actions for SAL, in close cooperation with the teamleaders.
  • Taking a leading role in continuous evaluation and improvement of educational logistics, working closely together with the teamleaders, programmes, and other departments.
  • Develop strategic staff planning for SAL employees to enhance professional development and mutual sharing of knowledge while promoting further growth in the advisory role towards programs based on their expertise.

SAL is part of the Centre for Educational Support (CES) and the manager will join the Management Team of CES. The MT determines the strategy, annual plans, budgets and policies of CES, utilizing the knowledge and skills of its eight departments to support all educational processes and developments within the UT. The new manager SAL is expected to play an active role in the MT, and work together with the other members to continuously improve our organization.
