The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Student Research Worker to work under the direction of a Principal Investigator???s program of research focusing on improving quality of life of patients with advanced cardiovascular disease.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in monitoring study database.
- Assisting with data collection, cleaning, and preparation and with statistical analysis of research data.
- Providing support with manuscript preparation and submission, including conducting literature searches, manuscript writing and manuscript submissions.
- Assisting with administrative tasks including IRB submission/revisions.
- Attending all research related meetings.
- Working closely with sites and study personnel and
- Performing other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor???s degree; and at least one year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience.
- Must be currently enrolled as Columbia University student.
Other Requirements
- Computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with R program.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Previous research experience is desired.
- Statistical and database management experience desired.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
