- Based in Alice Springs with frequent travel to communities in the MacDonnell Region
The MacDonnell region is located in the centre of Australia. Covering 270,000sq km and with an estimated population approaching 7,000, it has a unique beauty with picturesque water holes, magnificent flora and fauna, red desert sands and rugged mountain ranges.
As the Coordinator Youth Services – Sports Development and Training you will be responsible to deliver the youth services sport recreation programs to remote based youth teams in MacDonnell Regional Council communities. You will organise youth led programs and inter community events and trainings for local people.
Our successful candidate will ideally have qualifications in sport and recreation, youth services or community development and equivalent work experience in a similar role including budgeting, resource management skills. The ideal candidate will also have high level of communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders and ability to lead and mentor teams.
