About the Partner Organisation:
Ermera is one of the municipalities around the capital Díli. It shares a border with the municipalities of Aileu (east), Ainaro (south), Bobonaro (west), and Likisá (north). Ermera has five Administrative posts – Atsabe, Ermera, Hatolia, Letefoho and Railaco. Ermera has 52 sucos (villages). Due to limited funding available, PDIM Administrasaun Autoridade Municipal de Ermera is looking for a reliable and capable civil engineer who can assist with developing staff in rural areas. As a volunteer, you will mentor local staff in the full range of building and design of Municipality Project. Particularly with emphasis on:- design and costing of the project -Foundation for al structure reflects the condition of the soil and the weather.
About the Position:
- You’ll assist, contribute, and improve the engineering system in Timor, you will be sharing and exchanging your valuable skills and knowledge with local Timorese nationals
- Extensive experience working on a range of civil engineering work sites in rural areas or in a developing country
- You’ll gain an incredible opportunity to gain new skills and to contribute to making sustainable changes across Timor
- Allowance: $3,245 – Living Allowance $1860 Accommodation allowance $1385 Monthly $3245
