About the opportunity

Our Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) supports Victorians from birth to 65 years and Aboriginal people from birth to 50 years when their capacity for independent living is at risk. This may be due to chronic illness, mental health issues, disability or other conditions where they need support to undertake daily living activities.

As our Home Maintenance Worker, you will be an integral part of our HACC PYP team at Morwell, assisting with various home and garden maintenance tasks that help clients to maintain a safe and healthy home environment. This includes minor home repairs, modifications and the installation of mobility aid equipment. 

What’s on offer.

This is a part time opportunity working 46 hours per fortnight, flexible working hours.

In addition to base salary (SCHADS Level 2) and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchase leave program. 

About you

You will have previous experience in providing general exterior and interior home and garden repairs, maintenance and modifications.

You will also bring with you:

  • A relevant professional trade qualification/certificate (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to review and interpret occupational therapy drawings.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work relating to home maintenance.
