At Lutheran Education Queensland Early Childhood & OSHC Services we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout Queensland.
Bethany Outside School Hours Care in Raceview is co-located on the grounds of Bethany Lutheran Primary School. It operates daily from Monday to Friday for before and after school care as well as operating a Vacation Care program throughout the school holidays.
We are looking for a Diploma qualified, educational leadership experienced Assistant Service Leader to join our team!
This position is permanent part-time 30 – 35 hours per week. There is capacity to work up to 37.5 hours per week during vacation care.
The Assistant Service Leader has potential to take on the educational leadership of our Service and plays a crucial role in supporting the coordination and management of our OSHC program, with a focus on safety, quality care, and excellent leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing a diverse range of engaging activities and experiences for children
- Supervise and interact with children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Provide leadership and guidance to OSHC Educators
- Assist in administrative tasks, including record-keeping and documentation
- Collaborate with the OSHC Service Leader to ensure compliance and excellence in all areas of the Service
- Foster positive relationships with parents, staff, and the local community
- Contribute to program development, including curriculum planning and assessment
- Maintain a safe and clean OSHC environment
- Act as the Responsible Person of the Service during Service Operation
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum Diploma Children’s Services (or ¾ complete) or a related field
- Valid Blue Card (Working With Children Check)
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Previous OSHC experience, with management experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dedication to creating a safe and inclusive environment for children
