About the Role

As the HR Manager reporting directly to the CEO, you should possess remarkable determination, drive, and a reputation for optimism and a positive attitude. Your proven success in navigating a dynamic human services environment will be evident in your track record. The ability to influence and develop others, coupled with a strategic and commercial decision-making approach, is essential. Leading by example, you will inspire our teams in addressing a wide range of employee and industrial matters. Your collaboration with the executive team will involve offering counsel on contemporary people and capability practices to align with our strategic direction. Ensuring compliance with legislation, this role is crucial for managing all aspects of industrial relations, rostering, employee management, and overseeing Monkami’s compliance and work health safety management.

Qualifications & experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or significant experience
  • Experience in HR generalist background and able to deliver services spanning the employee life-cycle
  • Capacity to understand business needs and the NFP sector
  • Experience in rostering, performance reviews, policy development and work allocations
  • Demonstrated experience in managing critical incident, associated risk management and work health safety processes according to legislation
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, Quality and Safeguarding and related legislation, MEA and associated bargaining, awards, Workcover, Portable Long Service Leave, Click Super, NES, Fair Work Australia, conciliation, and general IR
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to map processes, identify and implement process improvements
  • Experience and competence using a HRIS to manage employee and HR information

Compliance

Monkami operates a stringent safety screening process for preferred candidates that will require two satisfactory current professional references, an identity check, qualification check, satisfactory national and international (where required) criminal history checks.

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia.

In addition, employment will be subject to a satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module.
