Independence Australia is looking for a Residential Team Leader to manage a team of Disability Support Workers within our clients program located in Croydon.
We are offering the following:
- $37.82 per hour + 11% superannuation

WORKING WITH IA
The role of a Residential Team Leader includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Develop comprehensive individualised care plans in consultation with residents, staff, and other health professionals
- Establish monthly charting for each participant for medications/daily care needs/charting for continence and meal assistance/health needs
- Implement complex support plans for participants.
- Assisting with person centred supports of high complex participants.
- Rosters for site and client specific needs implemented and pay/leave approval for staff on systems
- Training establishment for staff in conjunction with allied health and IAG systems
- Update funding elements for individuals, inclusive of service agreements for stakeholders and supports to note allocation of funding
- Establish vacancy needs for sites and develop updated vacancy management process annually for each site
- OHS Governance for site and Incident reporting / investigation and outcomes management
- Undertake coaching, mentoring, and supervisions / performance management for staff as required
WORKING WITH YOU
The role of Residential Team Leader is essential within Independence Australia’s Services department. As the Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a residential home which include documentation for client supports/funding/rosters/service agreements, and a team of Disability Support Workers who support our clients.
It is important that we build on a strong foundation of skills and experience that you have to deliver strong outcomes to the organisation. To be successful, you will bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience leading/supervising a residential and/or community setting for people with various needs
- Experience in providing support and care to people with specific needs
- Experience in developing and implementing individualised care/support plans
- Knowledge of NDIS funding
- Knowledge of current disability legislation and related issues
- Certificate IV in Disability and/or Aged Care or similar
- Level 2 First Aid
- Valid Working With Children’s Check
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid Driver’s license
