Associate Director, Alumni and Supporter Engagement

Fixed-term contract for 12 months (with possible further 2 months), full time

Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, the Associate Director, Alumni and Supporter Engagement will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of alumni engagement and supporter cultivation. With a focus on strategic development and operational excellence, this role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and contribute to the School’s overarching goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Supporter Engagement and Alumni team, providing clear objectives and monitoring performance against KPIs.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the team’s activities, seeking opportunities for sponsorship and cost savings.
  • Ensure a seamless journey from student to alum through sector interest groups, providing continuous professional advancement opportunities.
  • Devise and implement a strategy to increase alumni giving, supporting the Regular Giving Manager in mass fundraising appeals.
  • Develop and implement a high-profile series of global events to cultivate high-profile alumni and non-alumni major donor prospects.
  • Support innovative strategies to encourage alumni engagement in the FT rankings process.

You should have considerable experience in designing and managing high-profile events programmes involving diverse stakeholders, as well as expertise in measuring and evaluating engagement strategies. Additionally, you should have some fundraising experience with a clear understanding of mass fundraising principles. Previous interaction with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and senior stakeholders and experience contributing to strategy development are crucial.
