This is a fantastic opportunity if you are an experienced program manager to coordinate the HIPPY Cabramatta Program in a 6-month parental leave cover position.

In this role, you will work full-time as a Coordinator on a fixed term contract from mid-February 2024 to mid-July 2024. The role is based at our Liverpool office, with the opportunity for agreed flexible work from home arrangements.

HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) is a free, home-based parenting and early childhood enrichment program that helps young children and parents to prepare for school. HIPPY is about encouraging and supporting families to learn together.

Day to day you will:

  • Work closely with community agencies and partners in the Cabramatta area.
  • Supervise, train, mentor and support the team of HIPPY Home Tutors to deliver the program to enrolled families within their homes and community settings.
  • Coordinate delivery of the HIPPY Program to eligible families participating in the program over 2 years.
  • Facilitate Parent Group Meetings.
  • Coordinate events and activities for families participating in the program.
  • Assume an active role in local network and interagency forums.
  • Work in active partnership with HIPPY Australia.

About you:

  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum Diploma level) in Early Childhood, Education, Allied Health or Human Services
  • Experience working in an Early Childhood, Education or Allied Health, early intervention or education-based program for children, their families and the community.
  • Understanding of Child Development and learning.
  • Successful experience in leading and managing a team and building effective workplace relationships.
  • Experience managing a community-based program working with culturally diverse communities and building local networks and relationships with service providers.
  • Proven ability to facilitate group meetings, adult training/learning and presentations.
  • Current First Aid qualification and/or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry, to meet reporting and accountability requirements.
  • Possess a clear understanding of child safe principles and practices
  • Willingness to work across several settings, including families’ homes and the community.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess a current Drivers Licence and have access to an insured vehicle.
  • WWCC clearance.
  • Police check.
