Do you have?

  • Between 6 and 12 years of broad environmental experience, including experience in some of the following: EIA, Works Approvals, and Environmental Management and Asset Closure in any of Mining, Oil & Gas and/or Infrastructure markets.
  • Experience or willingness to quickly learn project management in a supportive environment.
  • Sound technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, be adaptable, and contribute individually and within a team environment to the success of a project.
  • Degree qualified in the area of environmental science or related field.
  • Full legal working rights within Australia and C class Licence.

We currently have an opportunity in our Approvals and Planning team for an experienced and passionate Environmental Approvals Consultant for a placement within the BHP Perth office. This is an opportunity to work in a high-performing team environment that delivers innovative, effective environmental and sustainable outcomes. You can learn the nuances of working with a large mining company with the support of a multi-disciplinary and capable team. This role will allow you to thrive and learn in a dynamic environment whilst making valuable contributions to the organisation.

There will also be opportunities to broaden skill sets by being involved in a collaborative team supporting you from CDM Smith.
