About the opportunity

You will lead the newly established Lived Experience and Consumer Training and Development team and oversee the implementation of various programs, including our Earn & Learn Program, Peer Cadet Program, Community-based AOD psychoeducation programs and Student Placements.

It’s a great opportunity to help build the capacity of consumers and the lived experience workforce through training and work placement opportunities. It is anticipated that as the team grows that the training offering will also grow.

What’s on offer.

In addition to base salary (SCHADS Level 5) and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

We offer a hybrid (WFH) and flexible work environment and can set you up to work remotely for 1 day per week, with the other days at our Coburg office.

There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchase leave program.

About you

You love the opportunity a newly created position offers – building the team, the culture and implementing a range of training programs for consumers and people with lived experience within our Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health division.

You will bring with you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or another health-related field
  • Extensive understanding and experience in the Alcohol and other Drug Sector and Mental Health sector
  • Leadership experience with a passion for motivating and leading teams
  • Experience coordinating, developing, and delivering training and/or skills development programs
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience building and maintaining partner
