We are currently recruiting for 6 Professional Experience Support Officer roles across our three Colleges:

College of Human and Social Futures

  • 2 x full time, fixed term until December 2024

College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing

  • 2 x full time, fixed term until December/January 2024/5 (possibility for Gosford location)

College of Engineering, Science and Environment

  • 1 x full time, fixed term until January 2025
  • 1 x full time, continuing

As a Professional Experience Support Officer, you will provide administrative support to students, staff, and placement providers in relation to professional experience placements and Career-ready Placement activities. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and mutually beneficial placement process for both students and providers.

In this role you will:

  • Plan and process placements across disciplines based on the program curriculum and the relevant placement calendar.
  • Nurture professional relationships with staff and industry partners.
  • Liaise with placement providers and resolve issues relating to student placements.
  • Relay important information and provide advice to students on placement requirements.

These positions are full time and will be primarily located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $74,863 to $86,842 pro-rated + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment, demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high-level computer literacy, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and corporate software systems such as SONIA, UON Timetable, Canvas, TRIM and NUSTAR.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
