Job Description

Sun Devil Athletics seeks a Social Media Aide who, under general direction will provide oversight of department social media and assist with photography, design and motion graphics for Sun Devil Wrestling. The Social Media Aide is responsible for aiding in oversite, managing and occasionally producing content for teams’ official social media platforms. Adheres to NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of the department, the university, and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and create recruiting and teem photo and video graphic content.
  • Create video content for social media.
  • Create video content for recruiting
  • Make highlight videos for program fundraising. 
  • Create and design digital graphics using traditional and computer graphic methods.
  • Confer directly with Wrestling program regarding project specifications such as graphic content, layout and media requirements; may create composites and develop concepts depending on needs.
  • Operate various graphic design equipment. 
  • Collaborate with the Wrestling program to establish needs, expectations and deadlines.
  • Utilize fitting and relevant imagery to composite into designs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

No prior experience required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience and/or interest in designing for social and digital and photo editing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Experience in meeting short deadlines and work in team-oriented, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated interest in Division I Athletics.

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to:  computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
  • Schedules may include occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
