Purpose:

the PSS Coordinator at Women for Women International leads and oversees comprehensive programs and initiatives designed to address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) survivor needs. He/she will play a pivotal role in creating a survivor-centered approach, developing innovative solutions, and building collaborations to ensure effective response and support for survivors. The expertise in training, resource development, and partnership coordination will contribute to a more compassionate and efficient support network for GBV survivors.

 

Engagement:

Internal Collaboration:

  • Work closely with WFWI staff, particularly frontline teams. Through training based on the GBV Pocket Guide empower them with the knowledge and skills needed to provide effective support to survivors.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication and coordination with Stronger Women Stronger Nation (SWSN) and Advocacy teams in different locations to plan and conduct M&E activities in a collaborative and harmonious manner.
  • Work closely with Global support center Technical GBV advisor.

External Collaboration:

  • Engage community and women leaders to extend support services using the “safety card.” By sharing this resource amplifies the community’s ability to offer timely assistance to survivors.
  • Collaborate with UNFPA to develop and launch a user-friendly referral app that enhances survivor support, while also taking a leadership role in the GBV service providers task force.

 

Delivery:

Referral App Development Coordination:

  • Collaborate with UNFPA to define the features, functionality, and user interface of the referral app.
  • Liaise with technical specialists to oversee the app’s design, testing, and finalization process.
  • Organize training workshops to introduce the referral app to GBV service providers and non-GBV organizations.
  • Provide hands-on training for 40 to 60 organizations on how to navigate the app, submit referrals, and access support resources.
  • Ensure training materials are comprehensive and user-friendly.
  • GBV Task Force Coordination and lead through actively participating in task force discussions, contributing insights and feedback to refine the referral form and service mapping.
  • Monitor the app’s usage among non-GBV actors and gather feedback on its effectiveness and usability.
  • Collaborate with UNFPA’s technical team to analyze feedback data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on the outcomes of the app design collaboration and training workshops.
  • Document lessons learned, challenges, and success stories to inform future initiatives and knowledge sharing.

Coordinator for PSS Activities Inside WFWI Women’s Centre:

  • Design a framework for psychological support services, including on-call assistance and confidential counseling.
  • Develop a training curriculum on PSS and self-care for WFWI trainers.
  • Schedule and coordinate one-on-one counseling sessions for women participants.
  • Create a comprehensive curriculum for unstructured PSS group sessions for Change Agents, incorporating Yoga, meditation, and art therapy.
  • Organize a TOT session for Change Agents on the unstructured PSS curriculum.
  • Facilitate Change Agents in conducting unstructured psychosocial support (PSS) sessions.

 

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with internal teams, Women community leaders, UNFPA and other stakeholders.
  • Provide updates on program progress, challenges, and achievements to ensure transparency and alignment.

Resource Management and Budget Oversight:

  • Manage resources, including budgets, to ensure effective implementation of training sessions, app development, and related activities.
  • Monitor expenses and adhere to budgetary constraints.
