HEP 5 $71,012 – $81,568 per annum (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions. We recognise the importance of accommodating diverse work arrangements and therefore open to candidates who can fulfill the responsibilities of this role either on a full-time or part-time basis.

About the role and person

Are you passionate about creating a positive and nurturing work environment? Do you have a keen interest in student well-being and mental health? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Welcome Wellbeing Officer.

At Victoria University, we are committed to fostering a positive workplace culture that supports the well-being of our students. As a Welcome Wellbeing Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing information and referral to students, booking appointments, and supporting administration and communication for the Student Equity, Safety and Wellbeing directorate.

 

Duties

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Facilitate a warm and inviting point of contact for students via phone or email within the Student Equity, Safety and Wellbeing Directorate, directing them to appropriate services when necessary.
  • Enhance awareness of available support services and programs among both staff and students by collaborating with VU student communication channels and engaging with professional and academic staff.
  • Streamline communication with students by assisting in appointment bookings and managing the Student Equity, Safety and Wellbeing Directorate’s staff calendar.
  • Contribute to system improvements within the Directorate, including file management enhancements, creation of digital team spaces, updates to SharePoint and web pages, and optimization of internal communications.
  • Provide essential administrative support to ensure high-quality service delivery, including organizing team events, planning days, preparing shared documents such as team plans, and handling other administrative tasks within the Student Equity, Safety and Wellbeing Directorate.
  • Assist in the preparation of de-identified data sets and reports related to the activities of the Student Equity, Safety and Wellbeing Directorate.
  • Demonstrate accountability by completing assigned tasks within specified timelines.
