  • Base Salary $117,116$132,079+ 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

The Education Portfolio team, within the Office of the DVC Education, has an opportunity for an Engagement and Partnership Manager to grow and promote the Lifelong Learning initiative from the 2032 Strategic Plan.  

As the Engagement and Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for identifying engagement opportunities and cultivating existing and new relationships. You will have the opportunity to build strong stakeholder partnerships internally with faculties and schools and externally with industry, alumni, government, and non-government organisations, as needed, to champion the Lifelong Learning initiative.

Reporting to a Strategic Project Specialist working within a growing team, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • manage and implement the engagement strategy, seeing the initiatives through to the delivery stage

  • promote and identify opportunities for engagement and partnerships to raise the profile of the initiative

  • manage and provide oversight for the external and internal strategic initiatives and activities

  • manage specific services and provides support for strategic initiatives and activities

  • present to partners and faculties on current and future activities and events for the team

  • monitor and measure progress against planned activities to ensure a continuous review and improvement.

  • prior working experience within tertiary education or a large multi-faceted organisation

  • strong stakeholder management and the ability to develop internal and external partnerships

  • proven experience in preparing persuasive communications, presentations and reports for stakeholders

  • ability to present confidently in front of large groups and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint

  • superlative written communication skills and strong attention to detail

  • working knowledge of the university sector and the nature of the education landscape is highly desirable.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
