An exciting position has arisen for a Content Producer and Web Editor in the Marketing and Communications Team at Wrexham University.
The role will be an integral part of a team of talented marketing and communications professionals, all working together to present the stories and successes of our students, staff, region and communities in an engaging way to inform and engage current staff and students, promote and strengthen the WU reputation externally and attract the next generation of WU students.
If you are creative, an excellent writer and communicator who can also turn your hand to videography and photography for the web and social media this could be the ideal role for you.
We’re looking for a proactive individual who is passionate about finding the best ways to reach an audience through excellent, focused, relevant content. The ideal candidate will be familiar with creating content for a wide range of channels and platforms, have website editing experience for marketing purposes and will have a sound working knowledge of developing content that is optimised for online search.
Reporting to the Content Strategy Manager, the postholder will be an engaged, curious person, keen to find out more about what is going on at the University in teaching, research, civic mission projects, student activities, staff successes etc and they will be proactive in sourcing ideas and turning them into content pieces that engage. They will take briefs from colleagues in the Marketing and Communications Team as well as the wider university to promote courses and services, support internal and external communications and extend the reach and visibility of WU.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this role.
