About the opportunity

The Accounting & Transaction support team Lead actively supports the continuous improvement, standardisation and integration of new financial systems. Utilising processes in the way the team conducts its work and assists in performing the more complex tasks of the team.  The ATS Team Lead will work closely with various roles across FinOps and Faculty Finance to deliver service excellence, process optimization, as well ensuring that Finance Officers are effectively trained and are able to complete all transactions, using up to date transactional processes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • lead a team of Finance Officers to provide effective, policy-compliant advice, service guidance and deliver financial transactions support
  • overseeing all day-to-day accounting and transactional support activities
  • building effective relationships with senior management for all portfolios to facilitate service delivery
  • quality, timely and accurate reports
  • contributing appropriate performance management feedback and maintaining high degrees of staff satisfaction by encouraging and implementing effective work and staff development practices.

About you

  • ability to exercise good judgment and discretion when dealing with complex issues and confidential matters
  • strong leadership experience
  • computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, data processing, financial accounting systems, and web-based purchasing, expense solutions and travel systems. familiar with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or similar financial systems
  • excellent financial administrative, data analysis and reporting, analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • excellent stakeholder abilities.
