The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) is the standard for spiritual care and education. The ACPE is a multicultural, multi-faith organization devoted to providing education and improving the quality of ministry and pastoral care offered by spiritual caregivers of all faiths. The ACPE is nationally recognized as an accrediting agency in the field of clinical pastoral education by the U.S. Secretary of Education through the U.S. Department of Education.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Installs and maintains computer hardware and software for departments.
- Maintains desktop connectivity to the campus network.
- The computing environment may include servers, multiple platforms, and discipline-specific software.
- Works with constituents in the departments to identify computer solutions in support of the mission of the departments.
- Typically supports departments with more than 25 users or departments that maintain a complex environment (e.g. several servers) or departments that provide services to a large segment of the university community.
- Performs other related duties as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:
- This position is responsible for complex computer operations support for the the ACPE, in consultation with a contracted third-party network provider(s), from purchasing, implementing and on-going maintenance.
- The technology environment includes hardware, software, and cloud-based systems.
- Applications include Nimble AMS, Microsoft SharePoint, and other discipline-specific software.
- Installing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries.
- Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
- Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet.
- Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
- Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.
- Stay relevant with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
- Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
- Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
- Reviewing usage and activity reports and making adjustments to ensure optimized user-experiences.
- Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
- Nimble AMS is the Association database, routine consultation with Nimble representatives for the optimal use and operating of the system.
- Take the lead on account set up/maintenance and user password support.
- Data management to include, but not be limited to, routine reporting, reviews and resolution of all housed data for accuracy and compliance.
- Liason with IT consulting firm on new machines, new software, and keeping up to date with the latest technology and infrastructure.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years of information technology experience OR a Bachelor’s degree and three years of information technology experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell and Office 365.
- Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to the ACPE Office location on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
