Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $16.50 – $18.00/hour

 

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:

The USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy is managed by the Dean and an actively engaged administrative leadership team.  The mission of the college is to Transform Health through educating students to be outstanding and successful practitioners and leaders in the profession; through leading in discovery and innovation of education and practice in pharmacy; and through delivering the highest quality care in diverse, interprofessional clinical and community settings.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will report to the Data Management Analyst, in the Taneja College of Pharmacy, Dean’s Office. The Staff Assistant will perform a wide variety of day-to-day office and clerical duties of moderate complexity to assist the Data Management Division within the Dean’s Office. This position will provide skilled and professional support in areas such as academic/institutional data collection and management, database design and reporting, systems development, management, and analysis. Prepare and/or compose documents, presentations, calendars, and schedules. Ability to be flexible in a high-paced environment. Utilize Microsoft Office proficiently, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI. Work in USF databases such as FAST and GEMS self-service.

 

DUTIES:

Assists with data management functions such as data collection, database creation, data dissemination, and data storage.

Assists with data reporting, creation of presentations, and data collection and storage techniques.

Performs specialized duties of a clerical or administrative nature for the Dean’s Office including maintaining calendars, organizing schedules and meetings, answering phone calls, maintaining forms, files, and other records. Provides information and assistance to clients contacting the office. Operates office equipment including copiers, scanners, and printers to meet document preparation and production requirements.

Produces documents requiring intermediate knowledge of Word processing software, including PowerPoint presentations, flyers, magazine and newsletters.

Supporting the Dean and leadership with special projects as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two or more years of experience in an office or administrative support position. College or other relevant post-secondary coursework may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis. Testing may be required to assess competency on word processing software.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least two years of experience in an office or administrative support position working with faculty, staff, and students in a university setting. Experience with PowerBI
