MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Organize, supervise and coordinate the distribution of tasks between team members, manage resources, time and schedules.
- Ensure and contribute to the definition, in collaboration with team members, of the methodology, evaluation questions, work plan, and all necessary elements to the smooth running of the mission and ensuring the quality of their implementation.
- Ensure and contribute to the quality of the data collected (in particular through the definition of robust collection mechanisms), and supervise their documentation and conservation.
- Supervise and contribute to the production of deliverables on time, checking their quality consistency, and adequacy to the needs of the company. Present the methods, progress, partial or final conclusions and/or different reports when this is foreseen.
- Act as a representative of the evaluation mission: be the focal point for taking contact with the various partners, in order to explain the intervention and the objective of the mission, and to gain the support of the interlocutors.
- Coordinate and contribute to the production of dissemination materials: ensure their quality, their dissemination and the proper organization of restitution events.
- Perform any other necessary task to ensure the proper execution of this evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Education:
- Possession of a Master’s degree in Agroeconomics, Rural Development, Food Security/Nutrition, Social Sciences, Economics, or a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in these fields.
General Professional Experience:
- Demonstrated professional experience of at least 10 years in the identification, formulation, implementation, and evaluation of cooperation programs.
Specific Professional Experience:
- A proven track record of at least 10 years in designing and implementing resilience-building programs and initiatives, especially in the G5 Sahel countries (experience in at least two countries is essential).
- Extensive experience in evaluating multi-sectoral programs, with expertise in at least two of the following areas: 1) Crisis prevention in food, 2) Facilitating access to basic services, 3) Managing the consequences of forced displacement, 4) Sustainable socio-economic development (utilizing tools such as social transfers, income-generating activities, High-Intensity Handling Approach, microfinance services), 5) Strengthening local governance, and 6) Conflict management and resolution.
Language Skills:
- Proficiency in both French (oral and written, level C1) and English (oral and written, level B2).
Computer Skills:
- Expertise in utilizing IT tools, including the Microsoft suite or equivalent, and proficiency in remote exchange software such as Webex, Skype, Teams, or similar platforms.
