JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Amatya Lab of Penn State College of Medicine in the Pediatrics Department located in Hershey, PA is seeking a qualified, motivated Research Associate or experienced Part-Time Research Assistant to join a talented research team focusing on developmental mechanistic studies to identify pathogenesis and genetic susceptibilities of lung disease in premature infants. We are searching for a highly organized and self-motivated individual. Conduct experiments, including collecting, compiling, and processing data. Organize data and findings.
Responsibilities:
- Execution of record keeping, organization and maintenance of databases, and related tasks
- Maintain laboratory equipment and certifications
- Maintain laboratory compliance
- Maintain inventory of study samples, raw materials, buffers, and reagents
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS degree or above, preferred, in related science field preferred.
The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
