IT Support Officer
We are currently recruiting an IT Support Officer to join our Information Technology (IT) team.
This is a full time hybrid position. You must be able to commute into the Washington DC office, US, 5 days a week.

About the Opportunity.
RI is seeking an IT Support Officer, to join the team in Washington DC.
This is a critical role within the Global IT team, that provides technical assistance to RI’s staff members, to ensure optimal use of computer devices, office networks, and software solutions.
Your responsibilities will be
Tier-1 technical Support at the Global level
- Utilize the IT support ticketing system to troubleshoot users’ computer problems, determine sources of issues, and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Support RI staff to access IT-managed services
- Setup new users’ accounts and assist users to maintain active profiles throughout IT-managed systems.
- Compliance with the Service Charter of IT Support
IT Support Ticketing System Management
- Manage and maintain RI’s global IT Support Ticketing System
- Assist the Global IT Director to keep track of the IT supporting tickets and Security Incident Alerts.
Computer and Network Monitoring and Maintenance
- Follow the RI Computer Standards to install and configure computer operating systems and all RI software.
- Support the Global Support Office (GSO) IT Coordinator to manage and maintain the IT Equipment in RI’s US office and ensure all computers are up to date with important software and system updates.
- Maintain and manage RI’s Washington DC office’s office network and networking equipment.
Information Security Response
- Monitor and response to security alerts associated with GSO users in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal.
- Coordinate with IT Security Specialist to support Regional and Country Level IT staff to response to any cyber-attacks targeting local users or devices at the field level.
IT knowledge and user training
- Complete and fulfill all IT administrator training requirements.
- Provide basic IT user training and orientation to all GSO staff.
- Help Country and Regional Level IT staff to manage and maintain RI solutions correctly and efficiently.

- Uphold and promote RI’s commitment to ensuring the safeguarding and safety of the vulnerable communities we serve.
- Consistent with RI’s safeguarding and protection policies, ensure your job-related activity and practice is compliant with safeguarding standards.
- Ensure that your behaviour inside and outside of work promotes the values outlined with RI’s code of conduct and safeguarding policies
About You.
You will bring the following experience and skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working with cloud-based (SaaS) solutions as system administrator or similar roles
- Expert in Microsoft Azure AD and M365 environment administration
- Deep understanding of Identity Management (SSO, user provisioning, MFA) and MDM
- Holder of “Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert” would be highly preferred
- Knowledge in Cisco Meraki, Box, Power BI, or Power Automation is an advantage
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
- Strong communication skills in English
