  • Salary range $95,860 – $103,341 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The University Health Service (UHS) within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education portfolio provides an array of emergency medical services at the University of Sydney. This vibrant and friendly team is now looking for a Practice Nurse to join them!

The UHS is a student support service that may also be utilised by University staff, their families and employees of other organisations working on campus. It comprises 12 general practitioners, two registered nurses, a clinical psychologist and five administration and reception staff.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide clinical nursing care in the general practice

  • administer vaccinations/immunisations for patients

  • respond to patient queries, including informing patients of diagnostic results

  • assist the general practitioners as required

  • monitor and maintain inventory and ordering including vaccine ordering

  • responsible for ensuring clinical equipment.

About you

  • registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a registered nurse

  • experience working as a nurse in an Australian general practice

  • experience working with patients of all ages

  • able to work with maturity, tact, discretion, and empathy

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
