Job Description

  • Being a role model and leading a team to ensure the effective dispatch of all flights to our customer with accurate specifications
  • Working alongside the Shift Manager to fulfill the accuracy of our stock control, handling Goods In, delivering excellence in your work
  • Ensuring the exceptional DO & CO quality is maintained at its highest level with maximum efficiency in accordance with DO & CO regulations as set by the Quality Assurance team
  • Ensuring you adhere to all SOP’s and ALL relevant Critical Control Points, Health and Safety, Food safety and all legal requirements with the DFT and security.
  • Defining systems of working to ensure quality of product, problems are resolved with solutions and continuous improvement initiatives are instigated
  • To build and maintain excellent working relationships with all department Heads, ensuring the provision of a positive and professional service that elevates the DO & CO reputation and any highlighted problems have an implemented solution
  • Representing DO & CO daily with all internal communication with our department and to internal departments
  • Driving success by proactively managing your time to be as efficient and accurate as possible with your work
  • Ensuring the effective development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent and compliant application
  • Maintaining good working relationships with all DO & CO family members as well as our partners, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Managing your time accordingly and with the other processes happening around you
  • Managing the expectations of the Department head to successfully oversee and run the day to day operations, within Stores & Logistics
  • Working with the head of department to process map each area to improve or create new processes within Stores & Logistics
  • Understanding the different roles that are played within the unit and strive to make all effective
  • Work alongside Head of Department and Equipment team to improve the items located within the unit and advise new solutions
  • Taking responsibility for all your actions, support your team, and celebrate successes as a family

Qualifications

  • The ability to roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to give our partners the best service with a problem-solving mentality
  • Confidence in taking the lead and making decisions that can improve the process or work required
  • Passion for high-end cuisine, love for food and motivation to deliver exceptional service
  • Well presented, professional individual with a can-do, positive attitude that indulges in team success
  • The ability to be a positive change champion for DO & CO, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies in order to gain optimal results
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data driven with the ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement and track solutions
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, mentoring and motivating, creating a team spirit, encouraging them to be at their best
  • You are a clear and engaging communicator, strong written and verbal English, and will use a variety of methods to keep the team well informed
  • Flexible in the way you think, making decisions efficiently and handling change to ensure everything we do is right for our partners and the DO & CO family
  • Be an expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement by taking a hands-on approach.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or experience within a Warehouse preferred
  • Highly proficient in excel with excellent working knowledge of reporting
  • Forklift license essential
  • The ability to adapt to change as you will be required to work in various departments in the Unit, including Chillers and Freezers
  • Flexibility in the way you think and reacting quickly and efficiently to changing circumstances
  • A person ready for physical work, heavy lifting involved
  • Coping strategy with pressure at work and time
  • Good working knowledge of financial management
