About the OPPORTUNITY

You will be based in Nhulunbuy, NT and oversee diverse community services in Gove Peninsula and resource place-based, outreach and capacity building activities across the broader East Arnhem Region and Groote Eylandt Archipelago.

You will mentor senior staff, sustain teams, lead projects, and manage regional performance. Using strengths-based case management, quality care and tailored supports, teams will enable people and their families / carers to resolve challenges, build resilience and achieve their aspirations. You will partner with stakeholders to support community building and regional initiatives focused on building safe, inclusive, and thriving communities.

Since 1992 Anglicare NT has provided services and capacity building initiatives in the East Arnhem region, largely from our operational base in Nhulunbuy and through place-based work in and scheduled visits to remote communities. The service profile changes from time to time reflecting regional development priorities, evolving community needs and new funding opportunities.

Currently we deliver Aged Care (Community Home Support Program and Home Care Packages); Money Support Hub – Financial Counselling and Capability, Family Support Service, Family Skills Facilitation Service, Playgroups, Communities for Children, Family and Relationship Counselling, Housing Options Pathways Program, Emergency Relief, ReConnect (Youth Homelessness Early Intervention), Back on Track #U-Turn and NDIS Supports.

Remuneration

  3. National Criminal History Check (less than 3 months old)
  4. Current Northern Territory Driver’s Licence or the ability to obtain on arrival
  5. NDIS Worker Registration (or willingness to obtain on appointment)
  6. COVID-19 Vaccinations (primary plus 2 boosters) subject to medical exceptions.
