Project Specialist – Project Management – Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt)

As an integrated part of the department, this position assists the department team in implementing and tracking of specific short-term/long term projects and provides support as needed to the senior project manager. The Project Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing assigned tasks/projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. This position is accountable to meet the department needs and priorities for construction, space planning, and emergency management.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field
Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
One (1) – three (3) administrative support experience, preferably in an acute health care facility or other health care related environment
Competent in medical terminology preferred
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including prioritization
Planning, organization, decision-making and communication skills
Must have excellent computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and project management software. Skilled at creating spreadsheets, forms, graphs, and charts.
Experience with the following technologies required: fax machine, personal computers, photocopiers, scanning, computer network, filling systems, and databases
Demonstrated ability to work well with others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent public relation skills.
Must be well-organized and work independently with minimal direction
Must be detail oriented
