Quality Assurance Engineer

Other Details:
Interview : 1 round of interview with Harman and 1 client round.
Contract Duration: 3 to 6 Months to Start from Feb first week
Location: Remote

The Sustainable Energy Management incubation venture is a start-up-style team building a disruptive
solution for real-time, distributed power asset and flexibility management, working with partners and
customers from the energy industry.
The team is distributed across US and Europe.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to work with R&D to design and execute test, debugging
and defining corrective actions.

Job responsibilities:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will

  • Work closely with R&D to review quality specifications and technical design documents,
  • Be actively engaged with the software and very hands-on,
  • Create detailed and comprehensive test cases and plans,
  • Plan, prioritize and execute tests,
  • Produce status reports for product testing and defects,
  • Raise risks with respect to quality and release schedule,
  • Assist with technical documentation writing and user training.

Qualification criteria and expected competences

You must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years software testing experience – manual and/or automated
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance tools and processes
  • Experience with performance and security testing.
  • Hands-on experience with QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum development.

Would be great if you have

  • Experience in enterprise SaaS and/or cloud environments
  • Energy/utilities/fintech industry experience and you are a team player and individual contributor in an early-stage startup environment who is
  • a self-starter willing to work independently and learn,
  • a team player who is highly communicative and collaborative.
  • able to adapt to ambiguity and work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
