HR Business Partner – Aviation, Marine, Corp
London – Canary Wharf (Hybrid)
The HR Business Partner will oversee all human resources activities across relevant segments, and partner with the Leadership team to ensure that HR priorities are aligned to the business’ strategy. To work closely with business managers, acting as the first point of HR contact, ensuring that strategies are implemented that optimise compliance, talent retention, talent development and employee relations. The jobholder will also be responsible for ensuring efficient, seamless, and value-add HR processes and procedures that are fit for purpose and best in class for the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the creation and timely implementation of the HR strategy
- Ensuring the business makes best use of its people and its people opportunities.
- Proactively highlighting HR issues and potential risks to the business, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring their implementation.
- Ensuring that business views are taken into consideration when HR implements or develops existing elements of its portfolio.
- Working with the business to ensure headcount and salaries are within budget/forecast.
- Driving and developing local talent and succession plans with departmental managers to fulfil short- and long-term ambitions of the business.
- To drive and imbed a performance management process and culture.
- To support organisational change, organisational design, and restructures
- Support the whole employee lifecycle to ensure exceptional service delivery.
The HR BP will deliver effective and proactive HR support for employee related issues in the business e.g., policies & procedures, performance management, reward, employment legislation, recruitment, redundancy, disciplinary & grievance, etc.
Person Specification
- Educated to degree level / CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
- HR business partnering experience gained supporting a Global business across multiple locations is essential.
- Demonstrates tenacity, with a robust and strong personality, to manage and close issues positively and constructively in a challenging and ambiguous environment.
- Experience supporting and coaching business management teams.
- Strong HR generalist experience – both operational and strategic
- Previous experience of supporting a diverse workforce; strong relationship builder, skilled at constructing positive working relationships with a diverse and challenging client group.
- Skilled at challenging the status quo of a business in a constructive and non-offensive way that is well received by key stakeholders.
- Open minded, and receptive to high levels of change – positively embraces and drives change at all levels.
- Focused on high levels of customer approach alongside strong personal integrity.
- Strong level of written and verbal communication skills, capable of adapting style and tone according to the situation and audience
- High level of problem-solving skills, with specific focus on developing new, creative, and challenging ways of driving the people/HR agenda
