About the role

The Paediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist Clinical Lead is responsible for conducting neuropsychological assessment and recommending intervention strategies for Aboriginal children and young people with a range of neurodevelopmental disorders and complex conditions, as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT).

The Clinical Lead provides strategic and clinical leadership and training to the CYATS neuropsychology team, neuropsychology students completing supervised practice and professional clinical advice to other clinicians as required.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

• Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Neuropsychology with full registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and with Clinical Neuropsychology Endorsement.
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic and clinical leadership to a clinical team
• Demonstrated experience of and confidence in diagnostic neuropsychological assessments, complex case formulation, behavioural interventions and comprehensive report writing as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Board endorsed Supervisor status with AHPRA (or eligibility and willingness to obtain) and the ability to supervise neuropsychology students and registrars to the level of full clinical endorsement.
• Awareness of Aboriginal culture within Australia’s history, knowledge of cultural sensitivities and current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people in conjunction with a willingness to incorporate Aboriginal values into clinical practice.
