Facilitator at SAD-Tikrit and Balad
Job description:
The project facilitator will support implement project activities, document lessons learnt, support assessments and monitoring and evaluation of the project. He/she will Collaborate with the team to monitor progress, contribute to reports, and implement Protection sessions. Crucial role in promoting mental well-being in communities. is responsible for assisting assessment, response analysis, design and capacity building of the project at SAD.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the project Coordinator and the Team leader Team:
- Conducting psychosocial support activities for children/men/women.
- In close coordination with the field team, assess psychological needs and protection issues.
- Participate in various forms of community assessments to identify individuals with fears or at risk, as requested by the project manager.
- With the support and guidance of the direct supervisor, provide individual, family, and community-level psychosocial and social support services.
- Ensure close follow-up for participants in identifying accomplishments and obstacles faced by individuals and/or caregivers in the rehabilitation process.
- Contribute to daily and weekly reports (qualitative and quantitative) of activities by filling in specific tools (assessment form, follow-up form, referral form, discharge forms, and monitoring forms) provided by the field coordinator. Submit any other reports requested by the direct supervisor.
- Conduct effective education programs in coordination with the team leader.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- University degree or equivalent in Education, Social Science, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.
- Experience working in emergency settings is preferable.
- Good knowledge and understanding of DO NO HARM principles and established international child protection standards.
- Experience working with Schools, IDPs, refugees and other vulnerable populations.
- Previous experience directly providing services to children/Adults.
