Full-time Faculty Positions

Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Part-time Faculty Positions

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department.  Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding.  Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit.  All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

Responsibilities:

The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship  at DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business  invites applications for two full-time non-tenure-track positions in Business Analytics beginning academic year 2024-2025. The Instructor position will have the following responsibilities: Teach 3 courses per quarter (9 each year) to both graduate and undergraduate students and participate in committees and service related to the undergraduate (BSB) and graduate (MS) Business Analytics programs. Responsibilities of the position will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Analytics, such as business analytics tools, data visualization, data management and analysis of business strategy and capstone.

The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship houses a diverse, multi-disciplinary and research-active faculty  who support undergraduate and graduate programs in business analytics, entrepreneurship, human resource management, general management, and supply chain management. MS in Business Analytics is a rapidly growing program, with a high influx of students with diverse industry backgrounds. The BSB program launched in the Fall of 2023 and includes an interdisciplinary business curriculum focused on applying business analytics to business problems. Many of the department’s faculty also support the college’s rigorous Doctorate in Business Administration program.

DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business is located in the heart of downtown Chicago’s vibrant urban business district. The college has built a strong relationship with the local business community, including several custom corporate MBA programs. DePaul’s vibrant academic community includes active student groups such as Kellstadt Business Analytics Organization, which support students interested in Business Analytics.

The positions will remain open until filled and review of applications will be accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis. Required Qualifications:

The required qualifications are a Doctoral degree in business analytics or a related field and active engagement in research. Prior university teaching experience as the primary instructor in courses related to business analytics is desirable, including descriptive and prescriptive analytics, data visualization, and database management. Candidates with industry experience are welcome.

We ask that applicants provide a table that summarizes the most pertinent teaching effectiveness data by course, alongside complete historical evaluations, within or outside their statement of teaching philosophy.
