About the role:

Mercy Community – Disability Services team, is seeking passionate and engaging Support Workers (Casual role) to join our supportive teams based in Griffin and/or Banyo

The position available is paid at Level 2 (depending on experience) of the SCHADS award (Casual rate is $40.26) + 11% Super + Salary Packaging. 

About you: 

As the successful candidate, you will possess: 

  • Experience with deescalating high behaviours (e.g. verbal aggression, property damage etc).
  • Experience working alongside clients diagnosed with Prada Willi Syndrome – highly desirable. 
  • Experience working alongside clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder – highly desirable.
  • Skilled in providing medication administration and personal care assistance – highly desirable.
  • Being flexible and committed to all shifts through the week and weekends (sleepovers, short shifts, AM, PM and evening). 
  • Completed or studying towards a Certificate III or higher in a related field (i.e. Certificate III Individual Support etc).
  • Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (P) and current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (P) – highly desirable.
