JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, in Hershey, PA is seeking a Research Project Manager. This position is available in the molecular and cellular cancer biology laboratory of Dr. Wei Li in the Department of Pediatrics.

We are interested in studying intercellular interactions during tissue homeostasis and determining how de-regulated interactions among cells promote cell transformation and tumor progression. We integrate cutting-edge molecular, cellular, and biochemical approaches in combination with mouse tumorigenesis models to find molecular targets and biomarkers for cancer therapy. Currently, one of our major focuses is studying the impact of immune cells and metabolism deregulation on  tumor microenvironment in brain tumor progression. We are searching for a highly organized and self-motivated individual with previous experience in lab management, performing independently and assisting lab members in individual projects. The Research Project Manager will be involved in the research studying brain tumor progression and targeted therapy development using molecular biology, biochemistry and cellular biology approaches with tissue culture and mouse tumor models.

This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
