IFC’s Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance (CTS) is seeking an intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC’s work, while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world.
• Support the newly established Global Supply Chain Finance Program that promotes the reverse factoring product in local financial markets and supports suppliers in emerging markets to have a greater access to finance. IFC works with financial institutions and provides unfunded/funded risk participation in supply chain finance facilities these banks have by taking buyers’ risk.
• Support the promotion of this product with internal and external clients, develop research related to this product in particular regions and other initiatives to achieve ambitious growth plans.
Selection Criteria
• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree level program
• Preferred field of study: MBA, Finance
• 2-3 years of previous work experience in banking, preferably in Trade and Supply Chain Finance is preferred
• Fluency in English
